Powhatan County Launches Field to Fork Series

The series is part of the Powhatan Department of Economic Development and Tourism's ongoing efforts to support local agriculture, strengthen rural economic development, and enhance tourism experiences throughout the region. The series will feature seasonal farm-to-table meals hosted at local farms throughout Powhatan, showcasing fresh ingredients grown and produced by area farmers, artisans, and food producers. Each event will offer guests an opportunity to enjoy expertly prepared meals while learning about the region's agricultural heritage, sustainable farming practices, and growing agritourism industry.

The inaugural dinner took place on June 4th at Twin Oaks Farm, featuring their Wagyu beef and eight other local producers. Chef Mike Ledesma curated appetizers and four courses highlighting local ingredients in every dish. The event sold out in two weeks and left many asking when the next event is.
