Powhatan County Economic Development would like to announce the Grand Opening of Coliseu Boxing Club on May 1st, 2026 at 1:30PM. They are located at 2562 Anderson Highway near the intersection of Anderson Highway and Batterson Road. They will be joined by Powhatan County Economic Development and the Powhatan Chamber of Commerce. Refreshments and food to follow.

Founded and owned by former WBO Latin Champion Alex de Oliveira and co-owned by Adriana and Carlos da Silva, Coliseu is a 4,000 sq ft dedicated boxing gym that offers structured, technical training for kids, teens, and adults of any experience level. Coliseu offers many different classes including: Fitness Boxing, Kids Boxing, Advanced Boxing and Women’s Boxing. Everyone is welcome!
Hours of Operation
Monday, Wednesday and Friday:
Fitness boxing: 6am – 7am; Adult boxing: 7am – 8am
Kids boxing: 5pm – 6pm; Fitness boxing: 6pm – 7pm and 7pm – 8pm; Competitive adv. boxing: 8pm – 9pm
Tuesdays and Thursdays:
Fitness boxing: 6pm – 7pm; Women’s boxing: 7pm – 8pm
Saturday:
All Levels: 8:30am – 9:30am; Beginners/trial classes: 9:30am – 10:30am
